Smelly Radiology Gear

high water use in Pfaffenhofen

After it had rained early on 15.06.2005 by 0 clock within two hours, almost 97 liters per square meter, were part of production facilities and a number of districts under water.

As already deployed forces, from production facilities and the district of weirs (Tegernbach, Ehrenberg, Uttenhofen), not the total number of emergency calls could handle alone, were against 2.05 clock in addition to firefighters from Scheyern, Hettenshausen, Rohrbach and THW Pfaffenhofen and UG-ÖEL alarmed. The main task of the three nachalarmierten weirs and the THW was the "reclamation" of the district Förnbacher.
Not only had a number of cellars, but also up to half a Meters flooded streets and filled to overflowing canals to be pumped out. The
FF Scheyern, Rohrbach Hettenshausen and took care of the drainage of many of flooded basement, during which the THW the flooded streets and canals accepted. The used immersion and bilge pumps of the weirs at the beginning not always immediately brought the desired effect, because many buildings were built in no way flaps and thus could push the water from the canals into the houses. Only after the sewer system was pumped out again to some extent and that does not back form more could be recorded from the first successes of the pumps.
After about four hours of dedication to the firefighters from Scheyern, Hettenshausen and Rohrbach was over. The fire department and the THW Pfaffenhofen were busy until late afternoon, the remaining damage eliminated. A total of 135 different damage sites were processed by about 165 workers with 23 vehicles.
